Peazy

For self-employed & incorporated Canadians

Every record kept. Every dollar accounted for. Nothing to dig for in April.

Peazy organizes your income and expenses as they happen and keeps a running estimate of what to set aside — so tax season is a formality, not a project.

Nobody withholds tax on your behalf when you work for yourself — every dollar that lands in your account looks like yours until it isn’t. Peazy keeps track of the difference, four ways.

  • Record keeping

Every transaction and receipt matched to each other in the background, so the paper trail exists before anyone asks to see it.

  • Tax calculation

A running estimate of what to set aside — income tax and CPP, federal and provincial. An estimate, never a filed return.

  • Analytics

Every expense grouped by category, with a running total — the shape of your year, without opening a spreadsheet.

  • Year-end export

One file your accountant can work from immediately, instead of an email thread asking for the rest of it.

Product

What you’ll actually be looking at

Record keeping

Every receipt, in one place.

Paper receipt
take a photo with your phone.
Emailed receipt
forward it to your own Peazy address.

Peazy pairs each one with the matching purchase on your bank or card, and flags anything that doesn’t line up yet. For meals, it asks who was there and why — CRA wants that on record before a meal counts as a write-off.

Tax calculation

Tax is inevitable. Surprises aren’t.

As money comes in, Peazy works out what you’ll owe and how much to put aside — for you, and for your company if you’re incorporated. By the time the bill arrives, it’s a number you’ve known for months.

Analytics

How’s the business actually doing?

Peazy shows what came in, what went out, and whether you’re ahead of this time last year — for this month, the last three, or the whole year. Tap any category to see the purchases behind it.

Year-end export

One file, and the year is handed over

A year of income, categorized expenses with their receipts attached, vehicle and equipment costs, and the CPP and tax summary — one file, the moment someone asks for it.

Plain on purpose

Easy. Peazy.

You don’t need to know accounting to use Peazy, and you won’t have to learn any along the way. It’s built for people whose expertise is something else entirely — plain words on every screen, and nothing to set up correctly before it starts being useful.

How it works

Add it your way. Then it keeps up.

  1. Connect your bank account, or go manual

Connect your bank account and transactions show up on their own — the easiest way to start. Rather not connect one? Enter transactions manually instead; it’s just as complete, just a bit more typing. Either way, change your mind whenever you like.

  2. It keeps up while you work

Income tracked as it lands. Expenses sorted into the categories your tax return actually asks for. Receipts matched to transactions on their own. You confirm only the genuinely ambiguous ones — a tap, not an evening.

  3. Check in when you like, export when you must

The set-aside estimate stays current whether you look at it or not. At year end, one export feeds your accountant, not the shredder — Peazy prepares the package; it never files on your behalf.

FAQ

We’ve got receipts for this too.

Do I need to know accounting to use this?

No. Peazy is built for people who'd rather not think about it. It sorts the categories, does the arithmetic, and keeps the paper trail — you confirm the occasional transaction it can't place on its own. Nothing here asks you to know what a ledger is.

I already have an accountant. Do I still need this?

They're not alternatives. Peazy keeps the records through the year so your accountant isn't reconstructing them in March, and hands over one file at year end instead of an email thread. It prepares the package — your accountant still does the accounting and the filing.

What does Peazy cost?

$9.99 CAD a month, or $99.99 CAD a year — two months free against the monthly rate. Every account starts with a 30-day free trial, no credit card needed.

Can I file my taxes with the estimate?

No. It’s an estimate, worked out from the actual tax rules rather than by AI. It exists to keep you ahead of what you’ll owe — not to replace a filed return or your accountant.

Is Peazy built for one specific profession?

No. It asks what you do once, during setup, and adapts its vocabulary — the people who pay you might be a clinic, a brokerage, or simply your clients. Underneath, it’s the same product for everyone.

What do I actually get at year end?

One package: your income for the year, expenses by category with their receipts attached, vehicle and equipment costs, and a CPP and tax summary. It’s built to be handed straight to an accountant.

Do I have to connect my bank account?

No. Connect accounts through Plaid, forward receipts to your own Peazy address, or type everything in by hand. Start with the least you’re comfortable with and change your mind later.

What happens to my bank credentials?

Peazy never sees them. Plaid handles that exchange directly and passes back transactions only.

Every year needs recording. This one’s already underway.

Thirty days free. Connect a bank account, forward a receipt, or just type the first figure — Peazy starts from wherever you are.
